MISE was created for Culinary Athletes™ of all kinds—whether you’re an executive chef, bartender, server, dishwasher, line cook, or front-of-house staff, we considered your specific needs when creating our shoes.
While our footwear is crafted to be a reliable tool for the food and beverage industry, it’s also been embraced by hospitality workers, medical professionals, hair stylists, stage managers, frequent travelers, and many others.
We know a standard shift can easily turn into a double. For your feet, that means days can feel endless, so we’ve built our shoes to be comfortable and highly supportive. But for your own health and safety, always give yourself the time to take a break and get off your feet (and maybe catch up on our IG feed). MISE are crafted to be comfortable for as long as you’re wearing them.
Our Shells are built to be both water- and oil-resistant. Our shoes can withstand the spills and splashes that inevitably happen in a kitchen, behind the bar, at the front of house, or wherever you may be. Our materials were carefully chosen to resist moisture and hot spills to keep your feet safe.
Our outsole traction patterns and assortment of BASF TPU and rubber compounds are slip-resistant against oil, grease, water and other fluids commonly found in kitchens, meeting and exceeding the industry standard ASTM F3445 testing.
To extend the life of your MISE shoes, we recommend following these cleaning guidelines for each model. Proper care will help maintain performance, comfort, and durability over time.
The Relaxed & The Standard
- Spray the recycled leather shells with a mild soapy water solution and wipe clean with a soft cloth.
- Stuff with towels or newspaper while cleaning and drying to maintain shape.
- Clean outsoles with a soapy water solution and a hard-bristled brush to remove buildup from the lugs.
- Remove insoles and soak in a cool soapy water solution, scrub with a soft-bristled brush, and air dry completely before re-inserting.
The All Day
- Spray the sugarcane-based foam shells with a mild soapy water solution and wipe clean with a soft cloth.
- Clean outsoles with a soapy water solution and a hard-bristled brush to remove buildup from the lugs.
- Remove insoles and soak in a cool soapy water solution, scrub with a soft-bristled brush, and air dry completely before re-inserting.
The Chelsea
- Clean the full-grain nubuck leather shells using a nubuck cleaner.
- Stuff with towels or newspaper while cleaning and drying to retain shape.
- Treat the nubuck leather with a waterproofer regularly to maintain water resistance and durability.
- Clean outsoles with a soapy water solution and a hard-bristled brush to remove buildup from the lugs.
- Remove insoles and soak in a cool soapy water solution, then scrub with a soft-bristled brush, and air dry completely before re-inserting.
Important: Do not put your shoes, shells, or insoles in dishwashers, washing machines, or dryers. Excessive heat can cause shrinking, deformation, and damage to the materials. Always allow your MISE to air dry naturally for the best results.

Our team used feedback from those in the food & beverage industry and our rich experience in footwear to build a shoe with features and performance engineered to thrive in the kitchen.

MISE shoes are made in China, with production processes that follow strict ethical guidelines.
Our goal with MISE is to leave the lightest footprint possible. Which is why we take pride in using materials like BLOOM in our shoes, a foam that’s made from ocean algae to offset plastic usage. There will always be room for improvement. And we’ll always want to improve.
Yes! The All Day was designed for inclusivity—its animal-, latex-, and neoprene-free construction provides vegan and allergen-conscious support in any culinary environment.

PAYMENTS, REFUNDS, EXCHANGES
When you buy through our site, you have 30 days to test our shoes out and see how they work for you upon their delivery. We’ll gladly accept them back for return or exchange, whether they’re not a good fit, aren’t what you needed, or if you simply just don’t like them. If you receive your shoes and they are flawed in any way, please let us know right away by contacting us and we’ll work with you to get a new pair, or find a solution.
You have 30 days to test our shoes out and see how they work for you. If you're worried they're not the right fit, we're happy to process an exchange for another size or model at no charge. If it turns out that they don’t meet your needs, we accept returns for a $10 restocking fee within the 30-day trial period. Head to our Returns & Exchanges page for more information.

We have partnered with Redo to offer Free Returns along with Package Protection for a flat rate of $6 in the US and $15 CAD in Canada.
Choosing to opt in ensures a seamless return experience and provides protection against damage, loss, or stolen shipments.
If you choose to opt out of Redo coverage, US returns will incur a $10 restocking fee, and Canadian returns will have return shipping costs deducted from their refund.

Accepted forms of payment include Debit, Credit, Apple Pay, Shop Pay, Meta Pay, PayPal, and HSA/FSA through Truemed.
Yes! We offer Shop Pay Installments (in partnership with Affirm).
We partner with Truemed with to enable qualified customers to use HSA/FSA funds on qualified products and services that are used to treat, mitigate, or prevent a diagnosed medical condition. Truemed partners with a network of individual practitioners who evaluate customers’ eligibility and issue Letters of Medical Necessity to qualifying customers, thereby saving customers money on legitimate medical expenditures.
What does Truemed look like in action?
If you do not qualify, you are able to reapply for HSA/FSA spending at a later date. If you believe you reached this outcome in error, please reach out to Truemed for help.
SHIPPING
MISE ships to all 50 US states, US territories, and Canada.
Our US shipping timelines apply only to the contiguous United States. Orders to Alaska, Hawaii, PO Box, and APO/FPO addresses are sent via USPS and are not eligible for Express shipping.
For Canadian orders, please refer to the International Shipping FAQ section for more information.
Orders placed before 11am PT ship out the same business day. Orders placed after 11am PT, on a holiday, or on the weekend will ship the following business day.

MISE offers two shipping tiers to choose from at checkout:
- No Rush (7 business days) | $5
- Express (3 business days) | $20
Orders placed before 7am PT ship out the same business day. Orders placed after 7am PT, on a holiday, or on the weekend will ship the following business day. Tracking information will be sent once the order has been processed and shipped.
MISE shipping timelines only apply within the contiguous United States. Alaska, Hawaii, PO Box, APO/FPO addresses are mailed via USPS and are not eligible for Express shipping.
Please note, shipping and timelines for crew orders (orders of 5+ pairs of shoes) are calculated differently, and all shipping fees are paid by the customer. The carrier will be selected based on your shipping address.
Orders cannot be canceled after they've shipped. Please contact us if you’d like to change the shoe size, cancel your order, or if something isn’t right.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
MISE currently offers international shipping to Canada only. However, we do not ship to the following provinces and territories: Newfoundland and Labrador, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and Yukon.
All customers are responsible for their own shipping costs, duties, and tax costs. International orders are shipped DDP (Delivery Duty Paid), meaning all import taxes and duties are included in the final price at checkout.
You can get an accurate quote by going through the checkout process and entering your shipping address.
We offer two international shipping options:
- International Standard: Estimated 6–14 business days
- International Express: Estimated 2–5 business days
It takes 1–2 business days to process orders. All shipping timelines are subject to change.
Upon shipping your order, we will send you a tracking confirmation email with your unique tracking information. If you can’t find your tracking email, please check your junk/spam folder. Contact us if you need further assistance.
We do not process international exchanges at this time. As an alternative, we recommend initiating a return, and placing a replacement order with the new size or style desired.
We’re happy to help you process a return for a refund on our website. Visit our Returns & Exchanges page to start your return. Please note, all refunds will be processed with return shipping costs deducted, with the exception of those who purchased Redo Free Returns + Package Protection with their order.
