Do MISE shoes run true to size?

Common to service shoes, MISE uses European sizing to remain gender neutral and inclusive. Use our size guide below to find your perfect size. Feet can swell as much as one full size during a 12-hour shift, so when in doubt, we recommend sizing up.

Who is MISE for?

MISE was created with culinary professionals in mind – whether you’re an executive chef, bartender, server, dishwasher, line cook, front of house, you name it - we thought of your specific needs while designing this shoe. The features and functions are tuned to be a tool of the F&B trade, but we wouldn’t blame you if you want a pair just because they’re awesome and comfy.

Will my shoes stretch over time?

In short, our full-grain leather upper will mold and contour to your foot over time. It’s supple enough to avoid needing a break-in period, but sturdy enough to withstand the harsh wear and tear we know your shoes will experience within the first minutes of use.

Are MISE shoes suitable for long periods of wear?

We know a standard shift can easily turn into a double. For your feet, that means days can feel endless, so we’ve built our shoes to be comfortable yet supportive for anything you throw at them. But for your own health and safety, always give yourself the time to take a break and get off your feet (and maybe catch up on our IG feed). MISE is crafted to be comfortable for as long as you’re standing, but use this as permission to stretch and nourish yourself during a long shift.

Are MISE shoes water resistant?

First off, you betcha. MISE are water-and-oil-resistant, built to withstand the spills and splashes that inevitably happen in a kitchen, behind the bar, at the front of house, or wherever you may be. Our materials were carefully chosen to resist moisture and hot spills to keep your feet safe.

Are MISE shoes slip resistant?

MISE are slip resistant against oil, grease, water and additional fluids commonly found in kitchens, meeting and exceeding the industry standard SATRA TM144.

How do I wash my MISE shoes?

It's so easy! Just remove the shoes from your feet, spray, rinse and wipe the outer shell. Your removable midsole bootie can be soaked in a solution of cold water and dish soap, followed by air drying.

What makes MISE different from other kitchen shoes?

In all honesty, everything. The concept and design of MISE was scratch-made with the specifics of the culinary industry at the forefront. Our team used feedback from those in the F&B industry and our experience from athletic footwear to build a shoe with features and performance engineered to thrive in a kitchen-specific setting.

Is there anywhere I can go to try on MISE?

Right now, MISE is only available for preorder online. With that being said, we invite you to order a pair to try out and take advantage of our 30-day trial period!

Where are MISE made?

Our shoes are made in China, with production processes that follow strict ethical guidelines.

Are MISE shoes sustainable?

Even though we make shoes, we’re not big on leaving a footprint. Which is why we take pride in following as many sustainable practices as possible, from using materials that are by-products of the F&B industry, to utilizing BLOOM materials made from ocean algae to offset plastic usage. There will always be room for improvement. And we’ll always want to improve.

Do you offer vegan leather?

We’re working on this! Current vegan options on the market do not meet our standards to withstand the wear and tear of a kitchen and synthetic options aren’t friendly for the environment. But we’re actively searching for a vegan solution that checks all of our boxes...and the planet’s.

How does MISE give back to the culinary industry?

We’re currently working on an ongoing cause campaign that will partner with and give back to causes related to the food & beverage industry. Stay tuned to learn how you can help us make a difference.

Payments, Refunds, Exchanges

How long is the return period for MISE shoes?

You have 30 days to return your shoes upon their arrival. We’ll gladly accept them back, whether they’re not a good fit, aren’t what you needed, or if you simply just don’t like them. Returns are $10, contact us and we’ll provide a return label.

What happens if I receive a flawed pair of shoes?

If you receive your shoes and they are flawed in any way, please let us know right away by contacting us and we’ll work with you to get a new pair, or find a solution.

If I decide MISE is not for me can I get a refund or exchange them?

Of course! We offer a 30-day trial period with $10 returns for any reason. If you need a different size or find something wrong with your pair, we will offer a free exchange.

What types of payment does MISE accept?

Accepted forms of payment include Debit, Credit, Apple Pay, Shop Pay, Facebook Pay, and PayPal. Stay tuned for additional payment options!

Does MISE offer any buy now, pay later options?

Yes! We offer Shop Pay Installments (in partnership with Affirm).

Does MISE offer wholesale prices?

Larger orders and custom orders may be eligible for a discount! Tell us about your order needs by contacting us and one of our team members will connect with you.

Shipping

When will my order ship?

Now that our wear test team has provided us with feedback, we’re making final revisions to the design and ramping up production efforts to get the shoes ready to ship by summer 2022. Follow us on Instagram and check back soon as we announce dates and details.

I never received a tracking number. Who do I contact?

Don’t worry, we’re here to help you sort it out! Contact us to locate your package and receive tracking.

How do I know if MISE ships to my country?

Right now, we are only shipping within the US. But, as we gain the resources to ship outside the states, you’ll be the first to know. Be sure to follow our Instagram to stay up to date!

How much is shipping?

Shipping and exchanges are totally free. Return shipping is $10.

Can I change or cancel my order after it’s shipped?

Orders cannot be canceled after they've shipped. Please contact us if you’d like to change the shoe size, cancel your order, or if something isn’t right.

What should I do if my size is out of stock?

If your size happens to be out of stock, you'll see a “Keep me informed” link on our product page. Enter your email address, and we’ll notify you once your size is back in stock.
