Do MISE shoes run true to size?
We offer EU sizes as opposed to US sizes to be identity inclusive and offer a greater range of sizes—we suggest using our size guide to assist in finding your ideal fit. If you are in between sizes, we recommend sizing up.
The Standard delivers a snug, athletic fit, unlike the typical kitchen shoe or clog, so if you have a wider foot or prefer a roomier fit, we recommend checking out The Relaxed.
The Relaxed offers a roomier fit, comparable to an EE width, to accommodate higher volume feet and swelling during all-day wear. If you have a narrow foot or prefer a more snug fit, we recommend checking out The Standard.
If you're not quite sure what size to order, remember that we offer free exchanges and a 30-day trial period to help you find the size that best serves you.
Who is MISE for?
MISE was created for Culinary Athletes™ of all kinds—whether you’re an executive chef, bartender, server, dishwasher, line cook, or front-of-house staff, we considered your specific needs when creating our shoes.
While our footwear is crafted to be a reliable tool for the food and beverage industry, it’s also been embraced by hospitality workers, medical professionals, hair stylists, stage managers, frequent travelers, and many others.
Are MISE shoes suitable for long periods of wear?
We know a standard shift can easily turn into a double. For your feet, that means days can feel endless, so we’ve built our shoes to be comfortable and highly supportive. But for your own health and safety, always give yourself the time to take a break and get off your feet (and maybe catch up on our IG feed). MISE are crafted to be comfortable for as long as you’re wearing them.
Are MISE shoes water resistant?
Our Shells are built to be both water- and oil-resistant. Our shoes can withstand the spills and splashes that inevitably happen in a kitchen, behind the bar, at the front of house, or wherever you may be. Our materials were carefully chosen to resist moisture and hot spills to keep your feet safe.
Are MISE shoes slip resistant?
Our outsole traction pattern and assortment of BASF TPU and rubber compounds are slip-resistant against oil, grease, water and other fluids commonly found in kitchens, meeting and exceeding the industry standard ASTM F2913 testing.
How do I wash my MISE shoes?
It's easy! Just remove the shoes from your feet, rinse and wipe the outer shell. Your removable insole can be soaked in a solution of cold water and dish soap, followed by wiping and air drying.
What makes MISE different from other kitchen shoes?
Everything. The concept and design of MISE was created with the specifics of the culinary industry at the forefront–pulling in supportive and functional elements from an assortment of athletic shoes. Our team used feedback from those in the food & beverage industry and our rich experience in footwear to build a shoe with features and performance engineered to thrive in the kitchen.
Is there anywhere I can go to try on MISE?
Our shoes are currently only available on our site. We invite you to order a pair online and take advantage of our 30-day trial period. If you’re not satisfied with the fit or feel, you can return the shoes within the trial window for a free exchange or a $10 restocking fee.
Sustainability, Inclusion, Equity
Where are MISE made?
MISE shoes are made in China, with production processes that follow strict ethical guidelines.
Are MISE shoes sustainable?
Our goal with MISE is to leave the lightest footprint possible. Which is why we take pride in using materials like BLOOM in our shoes, a foam that’s made from ocean algae to offset plastic usage. There will always be room for improvement. And we’ll always want to improve.
Do you offer any vegan options?
Yes! The All Day was designed for inclusivity, its animal-, latex-, and neoprene-free construction provides vegan and allergen-conscious support in any culinary environment.
How does MISE give back to the culinary industry?
In August 2023, we announced our long-term partnership and donation plan with Southern Smoke Foundation. 1% of every MISE sale is donated to SSF’s efforts to take care of our own by putting dollars directly into the pockets of food and beverage workers when it’s needed most. Payments, Refunds, Exchanges
How long is the return period for MISE shoes?
When you buy through our site, you have 30 days to make a return or exchange upon their delivery. We’ll gladly accept them back, whether they’re not a good fit, aren’t what you needed, or if you simply just don’t like them. Head to our Returns & Exchanges page for more information.
What happens if I receive a flawed pair of shoes?
If you receive your shoes and they are flawed in any way, please let us know right away by contacting us and we’ll work with you to get a new pair, or find a solution.
If I decide MISE is not for me, can I get a refund or exchange them?
You have 30 days to test our shoes out and see how they work for you. If you're worried they're not the right fit, we're happy to process an exchange for another size or model at no charge. If it turns out that they don’t meet your needs, we accept returns for a $10 restocking fee within the 30-day trial period. Head to our Returns & Exchanges page for more information.
What is Redo Free Returns + Package Protection?
We have partnered with Redo to offer Free Returns along with Package Protection for a flat rate of $5 in the US and $14 CAD in Canada.
Choosing to opt in ensures a seamless return experience and provides protection against damage, loss, or stolen shipments.
If you choose to opt out of Redo coverage, US returns will incur a $10 restocking fee, and Canadian returns will have return shipping costs deducted from their refund.
Does MISE offer group pricing?
We’re always happy to offer a discount for teams, restaurant groups, and any larger order. Simply tell us about your order needs by contacting us and one of our team members will connect with you.
What types of payment does MISE accept?
Accepted forms of payment include Debit, Credit, Apple Pay, Shop Pay, Meta Pay, PayPal, and HSA/FSA through Truemed.
Does MISE offer any buy now, pay later options?
Yes! We offer Shop Pay Installments (in partnership with Affirm).
How do I use my HSA/FSA funds?
We partner with Truemed with to enable qualified customers to use HSA/FSA funds on qualified products and services that are used to treat, mitigate, or prevent a diagnosed medical condition. Truemed partners with a network of individual practitioners who evaluate customers’ eligibility and issue Letters of Medical Necessity to qualifying customers, thereby saving customers money on legitimate medical expenditures.

If I am not approved to use my HSA/FSA funds, what happens?
If you do not qualify, you are able to reapply for HSA/FSA spending at a later date. If you believe you reached this outcome in error, please reach out to Truemed for help.
Shipping
Where does MISE ship?
MISE ships to all 50 US states, US territories, and Canada.
Our US shipping timelines apply only to the contiguous United States. Orders to Alaska, Hawaii, PO Box, and APO/FPO addresses are sent via USPS and are not eligible for Express shipping.
For Canadian orders, please refer to the International Shipping FAQ section for more information.
When will my order ship?
Orders placed before 11am PT ship out the same business day. Orders placed after 11am PT, on a holiday, or on the weekend will ship the following business day.
I never received a tracking number. Who do I contact?
Don’t worry, we’re here to help you sort it out! Contact us to locate your package and receive tracking.
How do I know if MISE ships to my country?
Right now, we are only shipping within the US and Canada. But, as we gain additional resources to ship internationally, you’ll be the first to know. Be sure to follow our Instagram to stay up to date!
How much is shipping?
MISE offers two shipping tiers to choose from at checkout:
- No Rush (7 business days) | $5
- Express (3 business days) | $20
Orders placed before 7am PT ship out the same business day. Orders placed after 7am PT, on a holiday, or on the weekend will ship the following business day. Tracking information will be sent once the order has been processed and shipped.
MISE shipping timelines only apply within the contiguous United States. Alaska, Hawaii, PO Box, APO/FPO addresses are mailed via USPS and are not eligible for Express shipping.
Please note, shipping and timelines for crew orders (orders of 5+ pairs of shoes) are calculated differently, and all shipping fees are paid by the customer. The carrier will be selected based on your shipping address.
Can I change or cancel my order after it’s shipped?
Orders cannot be canceled after they've shipped. Please contact us if you’d like to change the shoe size, cancel your order, or if something isn’t right.
International Shipping
Where does MISE ship internationally?
MISE currently offers international shipping to Canada only. However, we do not ship to the following provinces and territories: Newfoundland and Labrador, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and Yukon.
How does MISE calculate international shipping costs?
All customers are responsible for their own shipping costs, duties, and tax costs. International orders are shipped DDP (Delivery Duty Paid), meaning all import taxes and duties are included in the final price at checkout.
You can get an accurate quote by going through the checkout process and entering your shipping address.
When will my international order ship?
We offer two international shipping options:
- International Standard: Estimated 6–14 business days
- International Express: Estimated 2–5 business days
It takes 1–2 business days to process orders. All shipping timelines are subject to change.
How do I track my order?
Upon shipping your order, we will send you a tracking confirmation email with your unique tracking information. If you can’t find your tracking email, please check your junk/spam folder. Contact us if you need further assistance.
Can I exchange my international order?
We do not process international exchanges at this time. As an alternative, we recommend initiating a return, and placing a replacement order with the new size or style desired.
How can I return my international order?
We’re happy to help you process a return for a refund on our website. Visit our Returns & Exchanges page to start your return. Please note, all refunds will be processed with return shipping costs deducted, with the exception of those who purchased Redo Free Returns + Package Protection with their order.

How can I submit feedback for my shoes?
We invite all MISE wearers to leave a review after they’ve had a chance to try out their MISE shoes. Your input helps us create the best wearing experience for everyone! We’re also always down to have a candid conversation about your wearing experience. If you have extensive feedback you’d like to share, contact us and we’ll set up a time to talk.
What should I do if my size is out of stock?
If your size happens to be out of stock, you'll see a “Notify Me When Available” link on our product page. Enter your email address, and we’ll notify you once your size is back in stock.
